SANTA FE, NM – The largest progressive group of veterans in America, VoteVets PAC, is today endorsing former CIA officer Valerie Plame to be the next Member of Congress from the 3rd Congressional District in New Mexico.
“In these unprecedented times, while our nation is dealing with a pandemic, we need people in Congress who combine smarts, experience with a commitment of service to others and Valerie Plame is a prime example of that,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War veteran and Chairman of VoteVets. “Valerie’s vast experience in protecting and serving this nation and selflessly putting herself in harm’s way for all of us makes her well suited for Congress. Valerie knows how to get things done, and that is exactly what we need in Washington right now.”
While at the CIA, Plame worked to protect America’s national security and help prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, specifically nuclear weapons. She managed top-secret covert programs designed to keep terrorists and rogue nation states from acquiring nuclear weapons and was responsible for decision making at senior levels.
