VoteVets Endorses Bale Dalton for Congress in FL-07
Washington, DC. – Today, VoteVets PAC is announcing that it is endorsing Bale Dalton in Florida’s 7th Congressional District. Dalton is a Navy Captain, combat veteran, and former NASA Chief of Staff. He has spent his life in public service and is running to unseat Congressman Cory Mills, who is currently being investigated by the House Ethics Committee. VoteVets Senior Advisor and Major General (Ret.) Paul Eaton emphasized the contrast between Dalton and his opponent, saying:
“From his restraining order to his ethics scandals, Congressman Cory Mills is a disgrace to those he serves and does not represent us veterans. VoteVets is proud to endorse Bale Dalton, who has served our country with honor in Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, and the Pacific. The same grit, dedication, and can-do spirit that he brought to the Navy and NASA make him the right choice in Central Florida. He’s ready to lead on Day One, and to give his community the honest, responsive representation they deserve.”
Dalton expressed gratitude for the support, saying:
“I know that any successful operation is a team effort, and I’m grateful to have the support of this community of veterans. As a combat veteran, I’ve never backed down from a tough fight – and I know how to deliver results when it matters. Together, we’re going to lower the cost of living, and retire Congressman Cory Mills, to bring integrity back to this office.”
Bale Dalton is a decorated Navy Captain and former Chief of Staff at NASA who has always answered the call to serve America.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Bale has served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve for 23 years. He spent 13 years on active duty, deploying to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and the Pacific. As a Navy helicopter pilot, Bale flew search and rescue flights in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, medical evacuation missions in Kuwait, special operations missions in Iraq and Africa, and directed combat air support with the Navy SEALs in Afghanistan.
After active duty, he worked for Senator Bill Nelson in Congress, helping Florida veterans access the care they needed and benefits they had earned. Bale returned to active duty as commanding officer of the Navy’s special operations support helicopter squadron, then used his military background to improve efficiency and operations at an aerospace company in the private sector. As NASA Chief of Staff, he managed 16,500 employees and helped run one of the federal government’s most effective agencies.
Bale was raised in a hardworking Central Florida family, and is committed to lowering the cost of living and making it easier for Floridians to get ahead.
