WASHINGTON, DC — The following is a statement from retired Major General Paul D. Eaton, former Iraq War commander, on the insult of John Dingell, made by Donald Trump last evening.
“If you want to know why Donald Trump’s approval is in the latrine with our service members, look no further than last night.
John Dingell enlisted in the Army at 18, to serve in World War II. For Trump, a man who lied about his health, to get out of serving, to mock a veteran and dedicated servant like Rep. Dingell is repugnant, deplorable, and downright un-American.”
A recent Military Times survey of service members found Donald Trump’s approval was in free fall.
