VoteVets Action Fund Launches $225,000 Ad Campaign Holding Sen. Dan Sullivan Accountable for the Cost of the Iran War
New spot tells Alaskans what Sullivan’s 12 votes for the war are costing working families
Washington, DC. – Today, VoteVets Action Fund launched a new $225,000 ad campaign holding Senator Dan Sullivan accountable for voting 12 times in support of the war in Iran: a war that has cost $37.5 billion so far and sent fuel and grocery prices climbing for Alaska families. The ad will run August 11 through August 31 across digital, connected TV, streaming, and YouTube. It urges Alaskans to call Sullivan’s Anchorage office at (907) 271-5915 and tell him to stop raising their costs.
“Alaskans already pay more for everything and Dan Sullivan voted twelve separate times to make it worse,” said VoteVets Senior Advisor Max Rose. “Nine dollars a gallon in rural villages. Nearly nine dollars a pound for ground beef in Anchorage. Working families’ budgets are the victim of Dan Sullivan’s votes, and Alaska families are the ones paying for it. They deserve a Senator who only votes with their family and budgets in mind.”
This ad campaign is part of VoteVets Action Fund’s larger effort to hold Members of Congress accountable for backing a costly war and for the price Americans are paying at home as a result. VoteVets Action Fund continues to track how lawmakers vote against the interests of the veterans, service members, and working families they represent — and to make sure voters know.
