ADVISORY: VoteVets Town Hall with Senator Elissa Slotkin
VoteVets Action Fund to host a town hall in Overland Park, Kansas with Senator Elissa Slotkin focused on our economy and how current administration policies are impacting Americans – including Veterans and military families
Washington, DC – On Wednesday, November 12, VoteVets Action Fund will host a town hall with Senator Elissa Slotkin in Overland Park, Kansas. The event will be open to the press and the first major political event after the Governor races in Virginia and New Jersey. This town hall follows VoteVets’ first town hall in Iowa featuring former Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg. Building on the momentum from that event, VoteVets is continuing to bring fresh voices and forward-looking leaders who can connect with Americans in ways others can’t. VoteVets has been a partner with Senator Slotkin since she first entered Congress.
The town hall will be an opportunity for Veterans, military families, and community members to come together to discuss policy decisions that have negatively impacted Americans, including threats to Veterans’ health care, the nation’s economic stability, and the democratic principles that Veterans swore to defend. Attendees will hear directly from Slotkin and fellow Veterans on how the administration’s actions have hurt the Veteran community and how Veteran-led civic leadership can help push back.
