VoteVets Endorses Pam Keith for Congress
JUPITER, FL – VoteVets is today endorsing Pam Keith in her campaign for Congress from the 18th Congressional District of Florida.
“We’re extremely bullish on Pam’s 2020 campaign for Congress in FL-18,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War veteran and Chairman of VoteVets PAC. “She comes to this campaign with a powerful base of grassroots support in her community, combined with a large online following, which will be significant campaign advantages during these challenging times. But it’s more than just her organizational strength. Pam is one of the most exciting candidates out there. Pam is someone who overcame the challenges of being in a school integrated in the 1970s and went on to college and law school. She had an offer on the table to become a high paid attorney, but turned that down to join the Navy and give back to America. In this time of crisis, as Americans are fearful about keeping a roof over their heads, we need people in Washington like Pam, who’ve proven that they will always put others first and whose top concern has always been American families’ safety and security.”
Pam Keith commissioned into the Navy in 1995, in the JAG Corps. She was assigned to NLSO Norfolk, VA, and in 1997 volunteered to serve as Regional Defense Counsel and Officer in Charge of NLSO Detachment at ASU Bahrain, working with military units that were overseeing Saddam Hussein’s compliance with sanctions and weapons inspections. Upon her return home, she served as the first-ever JAG assigned to the Computer Network Security Task Force. She is the daughter of former Ambassador Kenton Keith, who was one of the first black naval officers to serve on the USS Midway.
