VoteVets Statement on White House Zelenskyy Meeting: “Impulsive Toddlers”

Washington, DC –  Today, in response to President Trump and Vice President Vance’s disastrous Oval Office meeting with President Zelenskyy, VoteVets Senior Advisor LTC (Ret.) Alexander Vindman released the following statement: 

“Expecting an ally to kiss Donald Trump’s ring publicly only makes our adversaries salivate, further isolates the US from our allies, and makes our Troops’ jobs harder as a result. The tantrum that took place in the Oval Office occurred because President Zelenskyy did the one thing every Republican in Congress should be doing right now – he told Donald Trump that his ego isn’t more important than our shared security and Western values of freedom and democracy. Donald Trump and JD Vance might think they looked strong in the Oval Office, today. In reality, they looked like two impulsive toddlers.”
