VoteVets Raises $100,000 Online for Amy McGrath
More than 7,500 veterans, military family members and VoteVets’ supporters have contributed since launch
LEXINGTON, KY – The first and largest progressive group of veterans in America, VoteVets PAC, is announcing that its online fundraising drive for Kentucky Senate candidate Amy McGrath has raised a record $100,000.
About 7500 donors gave online through VoteVets’ ActBlue page to McGrath, for an average donation of just over $13, per donation.
“Veterans from around the country, and those who support them, know that Amy McGrath will always have our back, and that her spirit of service and her rigid determination are what is needed in Washington, right now,” said Iraq War veteran Jon Soltz, Chair of VoteVets. “The people of Kentucky already know that Mitch McConnell isn’t there for them. It’s reflected every day in his rock-bottom approval ratings. It’s clear that Kentucky is finished with him, and veterans around the country are happy to help Amy make sure Kentucky sends him packing, in 2020.”
