VoteVets On Deadly Strike Against ISIS
Washington, DC – The largest progressive group of veterans in America, VoteVets, is applauding the successful mission to eliminate the leader of ISIS, today. In a statement, Mary Kaszynski, Director of Government Relations for VoteVets said:
“Consistent action against terrorist threats is essential in protecting both American lives, and lives of those abroad who are targeted for death by terrorist organizations. Despite declarations by the previous administration, ISIS was not eliminated with the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. ISIS will not be eliminated with the demise of Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi, now.
“What this strike does show is that the United States will continue to strike wherever, whenever, to protect itself. It also underscores the critical importance of our allies in the region, like the Kurds, who continue to fight threats.
“Finally, the preparation and planning involved that allowed a ground operation that resulted in all US forces returning safely is a testament to the ability of the US military, and to the leadership of President Biden, who made the right call.”
