VoteVets Has Spent $4.5 Million Backing Josh Turek in Major Senate Pickup Opportunity

Washington, DC. – Today, VoteVets is launching a third TV ad in its multi-million dollar campaign to help elect Joshua Turek to the U.S. Senate in Iowa. The ad, “For Iowa” explains how Josh Turek will fight back against corruption in Washington D.C. by banning Members of Congress from trading stocks and holding Trump accountable for abusing his power. Josh is the only candidate for Senate in Iowa who isn’t a millionaire and he’s not taking a dime of corporate PAC money. 

The ad began running today in Iowa statewide on broadcast, cable, and satellite television as well as on digital platforms including streaming platforms, YouTube, digital audio, and on social media. This is VoteVet’s third ad as part of its efforts to introduce Josh Turek as a fighter for working families. VoteVet’s first ad, “Tough Times,” started running across Iowa airwaves on March 24th, and it ran during NCAA March Madness games featuring the University of Iowa. VoteVet’s second ad, “Easiest Diagnosis,” featured an Iowa physician and Air Force Veteran, Dr. Teresa Coon, discussing how Josh Turek will work to fix our broken health care system, take on the insurance companies, and fight for affordable health care for all Iowans. 

Thus far, VoteVets has spent $4.5 million, including $900,000 in ads that are running on TV and online this week, to introduce Iowa voters to Josh Turek as the leader Iowans need in these tough times.
