VoteVets Endorses Senator Gary Peters for Re-Election
“Veterans and working families need Gary Peters in Washington”
LANSING, MI – The largest progressive group of veterans in America, VoteVets PAC, is today endorsing Gary Peters for re-election.
“There’s plenty of reasons to keep Gary Peters in Washington. First and foremost, as a veteran, he’s been a true friend of the veterans’ and military families’ community,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran and Chairman of VoteVets.org. “But Gary has done a lot more. From pushing policies that saved the auto industry from collapse, years ago, to fighting for the Great Lakes and against trade deals that hurt Michigan, Gary has been at the tip of the spear, when it comes to fighting for working families in Michigan.”
“Gary Peters has brought to Congress the very best of military values – a no-nonsense approach to problem solving, and a sense of responsibility towards others. Veterans and working families need Gary Peters in Washington,” Soltz concluded.
Gary Peters was first elected to Congress in 2008, and elected to the Senate in 2014. He served America as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve, including service in the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch. After 9/11, he again volunteered to serve our country in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
