SYRACUSE, NY – VoteVets PAC, the largest progressive group of veterans in America, is today endorsing Juanita Perez Williams for Congress, in New York’s 24th District.
“Juanita’s story is truly American,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran and Chair of VoteVets. “Juanita had to work hard for everything she got, as the grandchild of immigrants, whose parents struggled to make ends meet. But, realizing she also benefitted from what this country gave her, she joined the military after law school, when she could have gone and tried to make as much money, as possible. That spirit of giving back is what we need in Congress, right now. We’re proud to endorse her.”
According to her bio, after receiving her law degree, Juanita served five years in the Navy Judge Advocates Program (JAGC) where she handled high profile criminal cases, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Upon completion of her military service, Juanita relocated with her family to Upstate New York.
