VoteVets Ad Calling For Removal of Carlson, Ingraham, and Hannity Programming from TVs on Military Installations to Run on Those Very Military Installation TVs – Including During Those Very Programs

WASHINGTON, DC — The largest progressive group of veterans in America, representing over 1.5 million veterans, military families, and their civilian supporters, is running an ad tonight calling for the removal of Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham from TVs on military installations – even during those shows, targeting those TVs.

The ad can be seen here: https://act.votevets.org/go/4870?t=2&ak_proof=1&akid=%2E2713677%2EZ8ABMC

VoteVets is running the ad during Tucker Carlson Tonight, Hannity, and the Ingraham Angle, as well as other highly-viewed channels like ESPN on cable and satellite systems that include Langley Air Force Base, Fort Eustis, and Norfolk Naval Station in Virginia, Schofield Barracks, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii, Fort Bragg in North Carolina, and Fort Hood in Texas, Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Benning, in Georgia, Fort Campbell in Kentucky, Parris Island in South Carolina, Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington.

The ads will run tonight and tomorrow, totaling 85 spots.

In the ad, over footage of the hosts and text messages revealed in a recent lawsuit against FOX that shows the hosts knowingly lied about the legitimacy of the 2020 election, a voiceover says, “Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, and Sean Hannity spread their conspiracy theories to U.S. Troops. And now we know they knew they were lies, just to boost their ratings. There’s no excuse for allowing anti-American, anti-democracy, anti-military disinformation anywhere our Troops serve. Ban Carlson, Ingraham, and Hannity from all military facilities right now.”

Nearly one-in-seven of those arrested in relation to the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the Capitol had military backgrounds, showing the ill-effect of disinformation among military and veteran communities.

“As someone who trained our troops at Ft. Benning, I can confidently say that lies like the ones knowingly peddled by these particular FOX hosts have a corrosive effect,” said Major General (Ret.) Paul D. Eaton. “This disinformation aimed at undermining our Constitution and democratic system undermines the oath, divides our ranks, hurts cohesion and readiness, and makes us less safe. While we can’t and shouldn’t control what our men and women in uniform watch on their own time, there is no excuse for military facilities to help spread the anti-democratic, anti-American message of these FOX hosts.”

A more extended version of this ad debuted on social media last week and quickly gained millions of views and impressions. That version can be seen here: https://act.votevets.org/go/4871?t=4&ak_proof=1&akid=%2E2713677%2EZ8ABMC
