Statement of Alexander Vindman, Senior Advisor to VoteVets, on Heritage Foundation and GOP Organizing Against Funding for Ukraine

WASHINGTON, DC — LTC (Ret.) Alexander Vindman, a senior advisor to VoteVets, released the following statement this morning, in advance of the Heritage Foundation hosting Republican elected officials and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, in an attempt to end funding for Ukraine’s defense:

“Ronald Reagan would be aghast at what the conservative Republican movement has become – being lapdogs to authoritarians like Viktor Orban, denying funds to protect European democracy, and rolling over for Russia as it seeks to reestablish the Soviet bloc. It’s as pathetic as it is dangerous. Freedom is hanging in the balance, and they’ve decided to align with the anti-freedom side.”
