Senator Andy Kim represents New Jersey. Senator Kim has dedicated his entire career to public service.
As a Rhodes Scholar and leading national security expert, he previously served at the White House National Security Council, Pentagon, State Department, and in Afghanistan as a civilian strategic adviser to the Commanding General.
He was first elected to the House in 2018 when he unseated a Republican incumbent and author of Trump’s healthcare repeal bill. Kim’s historic victory made him the first Korean American Democrat ever elected to the House of Representatives and the first Asian American from New Jersey elected to federal office.
Senator Kim grew up in South Jersey, the proud son of Korean immigrants, and is now raising his two young boys just a few miles from where he grew up.
