Jessica Mason was born and raised in South Dallas. She attended E.B Comstock Middle School and Skyline Highschool. Growing up in poverty, Jessica struggled to afford a college education but found a way forward by enlisting in the Navy. She served in the Navy for five years as a medic counseling service members ailing with the mental tolls of war, sexual harassment and sexual violence, and substance abuse.
Jessica is running for Congress because she believes we shouldn’t be dependent on the kindness of strangers just to survive. TX-30 needs policies designed for the success of working-class people, and it needs leaders who grew up in and survived the struggles of their communities.
